Beacon intentionally excludes combat automation, movement automation, ESP and wallhacks, and server exploits. Its automation stays on the client and outside combat.
config/beacon.jsonThe Beacon addon API lets developers register additional modules without changing the core module implementation. The custom GUI exposes categories, search, favorites, settings, keybinds, configuration controls, and themes.
The source combines broad client customization with clearly documented boundaries.
Customize visibility, HUD information, particles, crosshairs, outlines, camera behavior, and viewmodels.
Improve chat, tools, inventory routines, reconnects, macros, ender-chest access, recipes, and session tracking.
Addons, persistent settings, verification tooling, and documented module boundaries keep the project maintainable.
Dedicated verification tools cover Freecam, configuration semantics, and the user interface.
A true detached camera with tick-based movement, configurable speed, optional collision, static view, and explicit interaction controls.
Versioned configuration, deferred saves, temporary files, and atomic moves reduce the risk of a truncated settings file.
Python and Node-based checks exercise UI structure, runtime behavior, settings editing, keybinds, and configuration round trips.
Source, documentation, release notes, verification tools, issue tracking, and contribution workflows now live together on GitLab.
The GitLab Releases catalog now contains 43 downloadable builds with attached JAR files. Version 1.8.16 is the newest published release; the repository’s 1.8.17 notes and 2.0 preparation remain newer source work rather than published builds.
Beacon has also been submitted to CurseForge under the listing name Beacon QoL. The listing is currently pending moderation review and is not yet publicly live there, so GitLab remains the only place to download a working build for now.
